Dust: Precursor

Dust: Precursor, an art book, is now available through Issuu. A brief history of my work. Favorites. Download or print it off. Either way it's free to you. Follow the link to the right or just grab your copy here.

Lucas

Lucas has moved on to the next phase of its evolution. I've canned the idea of the story-based--art-book. Now formated as a short horror, I am collaborating with Sukhbir P. and I'm really excited to turn this one out. I'm sticking the art-book concept on the back-burner for now.

Jet-Boy: Victory. Rocket Hero

Another micro-project of mine. I'm currently collaborating with Zach C., a fellow illustrator whose work is going to be featured in Satellite Soda: Book 3 as well. His Flapjack-esque style is going to rock your world.

Solomon Wakes

After a good deal of time away from this book I've found new inspiration. I've found that the publisher of this book is far from it. A licensing house that has little, even no, intentions of printing the stories it picks up, Solomon included. Live and learn. Along with the inspiration I'm finding my middle finger flying high. I'm doing this book the way I wanted to. I'm not going to stop using all those dot things.

Lucas

Lucas is the dark little secret I've got brewing. A hybrid art book that compiles the work of various artists with one short, twisted tale of terror. The story and opening artwork has gone out to various publishers. We'll see where this goes.

Satellite Soda: Book 3

Four spanking new pieces gracing the pages of the next Satellite Soda book. This will be available for purchase at the 2010 SDCC. Go.

Shwann: The Futuristic Samurai DJ

One piece done for the Shwann book. You can read up on it here. Lots of great artists contributed to this, check it out.

ID.G Show

Three exhibited, with five gallery edition prints available. Eleven pieces in all were submitted. You can check out ID.G here.

Solomon Wakes

I've been working on the graphic novel Solomon Wakes for, admittedly, too long. Revision after revision, it's finally on its way to completion. We've nailed down the story, balanced out the horror and science fiction elements. Around 200 pages in total. Two books. Truly unique. I'm really excited about this. It's written by Erik Martinez and Mark Smith (Popgun, Aqua Leung), and being published by Studio-407. It's finally reached a point that I'm going to catalog the progress. Hopefully providing an update every month or two.

Satellite Soda: The Book v2

The pieces commissioned for the book are complete. Three character pin-ups in all. Kid Missile, Funky Love Bot, and Chairman Badfunk. I'm really happy with how these turned out. You can check out the full sized images on Deviant Art, here. Preview the book here.

The Cryptics

The Cryptics Trade Paperback is out now, featuring work from artists over at Satellite Soda. With art by Ben Roman, Dave Igo, Dylan McCrae, Shane Long, Fabian Schlaga, Kris Anka, Jonah Gilbert, Robert Iza, Vidar Cornelius, Daniel Stone, Kyle Foster and more. Written by Steve Niles. Go buy it!

Little Man

One of two covers commissioned for Mark Linder's The Adventures of the Man in the Can. A self published title based on his regular podcasts. You can hear the stories on Betime Stories My Kids Love.

Art Show

I've been commissioned to submit work, along with (at least) one new piece for an art gallery show in April of '09. The work will be exhibited in Berlin-Kreuzberg Germany along with the work of around 20 other artists. The show is being held by IDG. The piece is themed 'intoxication'. I went for the sociopolitical remark on oil. Corporate greed. Exciting stuff.

Satellite Soda: The Book

Two works in progress for a book being put out by the guys at Satellite Soda. There is a third piece on the way. The book is set to debut at the 2009 SDCC.

IDW

It seems that a recent attempt to put myself out has been met with some positive response. Amongst the current roster of projects, I'm taking a little time to flesh out some test pages for the mighty IDW. To have gotten noticed by said publisher was exciting enough. We'll see where this goes.

The Amazing Joy Buzzards

A submission piece for The Amazing Joy Buzzards contest going on at Satellite Soda. I never win these things. It's helped me narrow it down to either tenacity or denial. I fear the latter.

Precis

I illustrate. Tell stories. It's a collection of both formal and informal training, inspiration, curiosity, and intuition. Nothing spectacular, and there's no list of artistic feats to make my case. However, given certain opportunities, I'm finally siding with hindsight and giving myself the opportunity to catalog my artistic goings on in real time. It's funny, I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of apathy in doing this. Establishing a point in time ahead of any neccessity for it. Providing some vague explaination as to how things evolved, though it hasn't taken place. It's just funny to me.
